No problem can be addressed effectively until it is correctly identified.
The Problem:
The only reason we have a civilization today is because photosynthesis pulled enough carbon out of the atmosphere to allow the Earth to cool and agriculture to evolve. It is simply not possible for us to put this carbon back in the atmosphere and expect things to remain the same.
Increased floods, droughts, storms and melting ice are merely the Symptoms of climate change. They are not the Cause. The Cause of climate change is carbon. In particular, the Carbon Ratio. This is the ratio of carbon in the atmosphere in the form of carbon dioxide, compared to the carbon in the earth in the form of fossil fuels. The Carbon Ratio determines what the Earth’s temperature will be. The Carbon Ratio is all any of us need to worry about when considering climate change.
